Most disgusting act by Americans

Tonight NBC news told about 274 military members who gave the ultimate sacrifice had their remains dumped in a landfill outside of Dover AFB.  This is an example of what America has become.  It has creeped  into the American military now.  There seems to be far less morals than when this country was founded or what my grandparents and parents knew.  The only apologizes the Air Force will make is if a family member of a deceased service member makes and inquiry.  How could the Air Force have done this to fellow service members?

No regrets

What about Americans?

Tonight I heard on NBC news that President Obama is planning on spending millions of American taxpayers money to attempt to change the beliefs, laws, and actions of people in other countries about gays people.  I have been in Saudia Arabia.  Trust me, they don't give a d___ if we think they should change their law about homosexuals being punished because they have a law against it.  It doesn't matter if I, or any other American think it is wrong for them to jail or put to death a homosexual person who has violated their law.  They do not care if anyone else in the word thinks their laws are right or wrong.  Why is our government wasting money on something that they have no hopes of changing?  Instead a lot less money could be spent by furthering the rights of all Americans, homosexual, straight, black, oriental, homeless, poor, rich, unemployed, etc.  The best way to attempt to make a change in someone else is to set the example and the money would be spent on Americans in America!

"deserving" Americans

My grandparents entered this country legally and struggled as farmers to survive.  They survived the great depression and both were married for over 40 years.  They were farmers who did not rely on Illegal immigrants to make a profit.  They relied on their hard work and the hard work of their children who learned through long days and hard work to appreciate what they got.  Many times it was their yearly pair of shoes for a Christmas present.  They never collected welfare, food stamps, assistance with heating bills, unemployment, government subsidies, or any other "handout".  Today's Americans think that the world or America owes them.  They don't believe they have to work hard, learn, or pay anything forward.  The jobless rate is high but the military is always hiring.  Why do they expect the American tax payers to pay for them to be unemployed when there are jobs?  Jobs where they can serve their country and the American people, get free training, and work in the field that they had in the civilian work force.  Yes the military has high paying, degree required, office type of people.  They don't just need "enemy targets"!  Today's military is very high tech and even being a Noncomissioned Officer requires some sort of degree.  If you don't want to be a full time soldier, sailor, or airman there is always the National Guard and Reserve.  Instead of asking for a handout how about giving something back to the country and the individuals who have given you your freedom?  It seems that today's motto is that it is easier to receive than to give or ask not what you can do for your country but what can your country give you.  Wake up people!  a strong country is so because of the strength of it's citizens.  The weaker the citizens the weaker the country.

First Blog

I have tried to put posts on Facebook about subjects which should be important to an American who cares about their country, but it seems that people on Facebook would rather talk about the games they are playing, how much fun they are having, or about something that has happened recently where they feel the need to ask for prayers to change it.  My concern is for all Americans by bloging about things that are happening which effect our country and the people who are tax paying, registered, intelligent, law abiding citizens.  I served in the Army from 1971 to 2007 and am a vetran of Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraq Freedom.  I may be retired, but still feel the need to fight for my country.  I would like to hear from anyone who believes this is the greatest country on the earth and worth their time to keep it free and democratic.
